2nd Edition

Editors Note

This month has been a strange one.

I’m excited because the first edition of the Gazette is finally out in the world. Something that started as an idea in my head is now actually real. That’s exciting.

But life is funny.

Just because something good is happening doesn’t mean everything else suddenly becomes easy.

Sometimes the people we love are going through difficult times and we wish we could fix things for them. We want to help, but we don’t know how. We wonder what our role is. Are we supposed to solve the problem, or simply be there?

I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately.

As usual, I picked up my cards and asked for guidance. The card I pulled was The Fool.

I laughed.

Here I was worrying about everything and The Fool seemed to be saying, “Just take the next step.”

Maybe that’s all any of us can do.

So that’s what I’m doing.

Welcome to the second edition of The Mystical Mandala Gazette.

Now go make yourself a cup of chai and let’s begin.

With gratitude,

Tales from the Tarot Table

The Suitcase – Part 2

The next morning, Lisa convinced herself she had imagined the whole thing.

The magician. The card. The strange conversation.

It all felt a little ridiculous in the bright light of day.

As she unpacked her suitcase, something caught her eye.

A folded map. She frowned.

She didn’t remember packing it.

Opening it carefully, she saw that one location had been circled in red.

No note. No explanation.

Just a place she had never heard of.

For the rest of the day she tried to ignore it.

By lunchtime she had looked at it three times.

By evening she had searched the location online.

It was a small bookshop tucked away on a quiet street, far from the crowds of Times Square.

Curiosity won.

A small bell chimed as she pushed open the door.

The shop was empty except for an elderly man sitting behind the counter.

Without looking up, he said,

“I was wondering when you’d arrive.”

Lisa froze.

The man reached beneath the counter and placed a worn tarot deck in front of her.

“There is something missing,” he said.

Lisa spread the cards across the counter.

Every card was there. Except one.

The Fool.

She looked up. “What does that mean?”

The old man smiled.

“That’s for you to find out.”

If Tarot Could Talk

The Hanged Man Edition:

Hanged Man:
“No, your manifestation isn’t delayed because Mercury sneezed.”
Chariot:

“You don’t need another sign. You need a plan.”

Moon:

“I never said trust everyone.”

Wheel of Fortune:

“I’m trying my best.”

Temperance:

“Please stop rushing me.”

Card of the Story: The Fool

The Fool

Lisa found herself standing in front of a bookshop she never planned to visit, following a map she didn’t understand.

That feels very much like The Fool.

Most people see The Fool and think of taking risks. I see it a little differently.

To me, The Fool appears when life asks us to take a step before we know exactly where it will lead.

Not because we’re reckless.

Because we’re curious.

Lisa could have ignored the map.

Instead, she followed it.

And sometimes that’s how new journeys begin—not with certainty, but with curiosity.

This month, ask yourself:

What might happen if I stopped waiting for all the answers and simply took the next step?

Ritual Corner

Need a Little More Confidence? Try This Simple Sun Remedy

There are times when we know what we want to do, but doubt keeps getting in the way.

The Sun is often associated with confidence, self-belief and clarity of purpose.

A simple remedy you can try this month is to offer water to the rising sun on a Sunday morning.

As you do, take a quiet moment and say:

“May I trust myself. May I have the courage to take the next step.”

Will one remedy change your life overnight?

Probably not.

But sometimes a small daily ritual is enough to remind us of something we’ve forgotten—that we are often more capable than we give ourselves credit for.

Journal Prompt This Month

Before you rush back into your day, why not make yourself a warm cup of chai, find a quiet corner, and spend a few moments with your thoughts.

There are no right or wrong answers. Don’t overthink it—just write whatever comes to mind.

This month’s journal prompt:

What would I do if I trusted myself a little more?

Sometimes the next step isn’t hidden from us. We’re simply waiting to feel ready before taking it.

Podcast Spotlight

This week, I pulled the Six of Pentacles, a card that often appears when the balance of giving and receiving comes into focus.

Many of us are comfortable giving our time, energy and support to others. Receiving, however, can be a different story. The Six of Pentacles reminds us that healthy relationships require both.

In this episode, I explore the deeper meaning of the Six of Pentacles, what it can reveal about love, work and finances, and why accepting help can sometimes be just as important as offering it.

Ask the Tarot Table

Dear Tarot Table,

I’ve been working really hard towards a goal for the last year, but sometimes it feels like nothing is happening. How do I stay motivated when I can’t see results yet?

— Amanda

Dear Amanda,

Your question reminded me of the Seven of Pentacles.

This card appears when we’ve invested time, effort and energy into something and are wondering if it will ever pay off.

The difficult part is that the Seven of Pentacles rarely brings immediate results. Instead, it asks us to be patient with the process.

Not every seed becomes a flower overnight.

Sometimes progress is happening beneath the surface long before we can see it.

The card isn’t asking you to work harder.

It’s asking you to trust what you’ve already planted.

Keep showing up.

Keep doing the work.

And give it a little more time.

This Month's Collective Card

The Star

This month’s card is The Star.

If I had to describe this month in one sentence, it would be:

Don’t give up five minutes before the miracle.

The Star often appears after a difficult period. Not when everything has been fixed, but when hope begins to return.

You may not have all the answers yet.

You may not even see the full path ahead.

But something inside you knows it’s time to keep going.

This month isn’t about certainty.

It’s about trusting that what you’re working towards is worth the effort.

And sometimes, that’s enough.

Closing Reflection

This month reminded me that not every answer arrives the moment we ask for it.

Sometimes we take a step forward and the path becomes clearer.

Sometimes we take a step forward and find even more questions waiting for us.

Perhaps that’s not a bad thing.

After all, every interesting journey begins with a little curiosity.

Until next month, take care of yourself, trust the next step, and don’t forget to make time for a cup of chai.

I’ll see you again soon.
