Reiki is a complimentary healing technique, which helps you to reduce stress, relaxand promote wellbeing. It helps you centre and ground yourself.
Reiki was discovered in the late 19th
century by a Japanese scholar Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki in actual is not one word but are two Japanese words ‘Rei’ which stands for universal life and ‘Ki’ means energy.
The universal life energy is passed on from teacher to the student. There are three levels in the Usui Reiki system:
Level 1: is for beginners in which the student is attuned by the teacher in an attunement ceremony and the student can then perform Reiki on oneself and on others via hands on technique. The student at this stage cannot perform distance healing.
Level 2: is an advanced Reiki system where students are introduced to three Reiki symbols and once the student is attuned they can provide distance healing.
Level 3A: Is the Master Practitioner level, the student is introduced to more energy symbols
in this level, which helps them intensify their healing and intuition. It will also equip the student with more tools to work with their clients.
Level 3B: is the Master Teacher level, the student after receiving attunement can now start teaching Reiki.
Duration between each Reiki level
You will find different responses when you do your research for duration between each level.
The actual duration between each level will depend on you and the practice that you have done in order to absorb the new energies accumulated during attunement.
Your energies and intuition will get stronger with practice. So move on to the next level when you are ready.
I have completed my Reiki level 1 and 2 and I am planning to wait for 6 to 12 months before I move on to the Level 3A.
